We will begin preparing the site and site facilities from Monday 8 August with a small crew consisting mainly of local people. On Tuesday 9 August we will be transporting people to hostel and field camp and continue with site preparations (removing top soil, measuring sectors, transporting water and camping facilities). Excavation will begin from Wednesday 10 August. We have small digging tools suitable for work in dry and hard loess for everybody. Half the people will dig sediments in 0.5x0.5m squares and the remaining people will wet-sieve excavated sediments - 10 liter buckets on sieves put in plastic vats. Digging and sieving people will rotate. We will work on weekends as well. We plan to finish digging on 24 August.
The nearest supermarkets and pubs are in Lisen (outer suburb of Brno) approximately half an hour walk from the site. Brno city centre is approximately 20 minutes from Lisen with many bars and pubs and all night public transport.
Drinking water will be available at the site for all volunteers. Volunteers will need to bring lunch and snacks to the site. Cheap food can be purchased from a supermarket 100m from the hostel (for people accommodated in hostel) or in Líšeň 2.5km from the site (for campers; transport to the supermarket will be available).
