Up to date info from 2015 excavation
- 25/VIII 2015: The dig was backfilled and the 2015 excavation was finished.
- 23/VIII 2015: A report from the Excavation on the Czech radio
- 21/VIII 2015: Sunrise on the site. The weather is better and we continue in work till absolute exhausting.
- 20/VIII 2015: Finally a sunny day! We would like to invite everybody interesting for an Open day in Friday afternoon.
- 19/VIII 2015: During a night and day (18/VIII) had fallen 100mm of water and our dig filled water. However, we are trying to continue in rain showers.
- 18/VIII 2015: Local TV published a short video from our excavation.
- 17/VIII 2015: The weather changed and from Sunday night starts raining. We bought a new shelter and trying to continue. We fished 10 square meters.
- 13/VIII 2015: The strong wind yesterday evening destroyed one of our tents and the second tent was moderately damaged. The work without shelters is more didfficult and exhausting. We are still alive!
- 11/VIII 2015: We errected tents to protect us from sun. We have the first artifact and first molluscs.
- 10/VIII 2015: We did not find 2010 test pit when usind Caterpilar scraper. Therefore we began slightly upsope above 2015 test pit coordinates. The excavation began.
- 6&7/VIII 2015: We spent several hot hours trying to find 2010 test pit in Líšeň/Podolí I. We are keeping in trying...
- 6/VIII 2015: Tvarožná excavation was finished. We excavated many important artifats and collected many samples for geoarcheological analysis. The 2015 Tvarožná excavation was completed on a big party.
- 22/VII 2015: In 36 degrees of Celsius, our Open day visited 13 people. Afternoon we enlarged excavated area 6 square meters upslope.
- 21/VII 2015: Tvarozna excavation Open day - visit us on Wednesday July 22 between 2 and 5pm.
- 20/VII 2015: Líšeň/Podolí I field is harvested!
- 16/VII 2015: We found our first Levallois point made of the Cretaceous spongolite chert. The actual temperatures attack 30 degrees and will increase.
- 15/VII 2015: A view to our excavation from the top of the Santon Hill.
- 14/VII 2015: We are digging deeper and deeper.
- 10/VII 2015: We finished first excavation week. We are using shelters to protect us in hot days as well as in rainy days. We removed underlying loess layer and start to excavate paleosol wit artifacts.
- 4/VII 2015: We visited site and cleaned margins of 2008 trench. We will start digging from July 7. Weather forecast: temperatures will attack 37 degrees of Celsius.
